Chief Controller [R&D], DRDO visited KMML
DR. Narayan Das, Chief Controller [R&D] DRDO visited KMML to assess the progress of the ambitious Titanium sponge Project being setup at KMML using the technology developed by Defence Metallurgical Research Laboratory (DMRL), a unit under DRDO.

A meeting to review the progress of activities of 500 TPY Titanium Sponge Plant was convened at guest house .DR. Narayan Das, Chief Controller [R&D-DRDO], Mr.N.R.Subramaniam, Managing Director KMML, Mr.A.X.Joseph Chairman and Managing Director - (KITCO) Mr.Brahmendra Kumar (Scientist DMRL) and Mr.Sankaravelayudhan (Scientist VSSC) Sri.Sunil Chacko(General Manger, KMML), Sri.V.Ajyakrishnanan(JGM(P&A), Mr. S.Sureshkumar (DGM Pjts/TSP ) attended the meeting. Dr.Narayan Das appreciated all the agencies associated with the erection and commissioning of this global flagship project for the commercial production of Titanium sponge. Dr.Narayan Das urged KMML to elaborate its R&D initiatives. He asked the team to look for the scope of energy recovery in manufacturing process.
