Call for Green Technology in Minerals resource excavation and value -addition

Kerala Minerals and Metals Limited Managing Director Sri. N.R Subramaniam stressed the need for the developing echo –friendly technology to make use of the mineral resources of the state. Inaugurating the Technalia-10, a workshop organized jointly by the KMML and the college of Engineering, Karunagappally, in association with the State Science, Technology and Environment council.

 

Subramaniam said that courses related to mining and separation of natural resources and value addition should be launched in the engineering colleges. He Said “if sufficient technologists are there to tap the mineral resources in our coastal areas in an eco-friendly manner, there is scope for Rs.50, 000 Crore investments in the sector.”
